Reviews and Ratings
The hotel had a mixed experience with standout views from the rooms but some cleaning issues. The service tried to fix problems but lacked finesse. The location was convenient for exploring the town but had its drawbacks.
The hotel is in a convenient location with great potential for a comfortable stay. The rooms were fantastic, spacious, and suitable for our needs, but the breakfast options were disappointing. The service was accommodating, albeit with some room for improvement. Overall, a decent value for money option with some minor drawbacks.
The hotel had some drawbacks like outdated rooms and a strange layout, but the bed was surprisingly comfortable. The view from my room was disappointing, and there were cleanliness issues like dust and mildew. On the bright side, it was a comfortable stay despite these issues.
The hotel is located in a great spot, close to town, but my stay left a lot to be desired. The rooms were not up to par; dirty windows, drafty windows, and a less than clean bathroom. The bedspreads were dirty, and something even dripped from the ceiling onto my son's bed! I did appreciate the location, but I felt the price was too high given the quality of the room. Unsure if I would return if prices go up and quality goes down. The upgrade to a suite for an additional $20 was a relief, turning the stay into a more satisfactory experience with a balcony and a beautiful view of Lake Placid and the countryside. The whirlpool bath tub was a blissful retreat after a long day's drive.
My stay at the hotel was a pleasant surprise. The rooms were much larger than we expected, perfect for families visiting Lake Placid for youth hockey. The hotel was available at short notice, which was convenient. While the service was terrific overall, there were some instances of apathy from certain staff members. The location was excellent, right at the end of Main street, within walking distance of everything. However, there were some issues with walls showing age from old light fixtures. The dining options were limited to just coffee and pre-packaged danishes, which was disappointing. The facilities were sufficient for my needs during my stay.
My stay at Mirror Lake was a mixed experience. While the room I stayed in was gross with stained bed sheets and below par breakfast, the convenience of a connecting door for our group of eight was a plus. The service was friendly but lacking in some areas. The location was great, near the center of town and offered beautiful scenery. The dining experience was subpar with limited options. However, the hotel had some nice facilities to enjoy.
